Thanks so much <3

WOW. What a year. Another Indiefjord over, and more beautiful, radiant memories that we will keep going back to on rainier days have been created. The music was beyond our expectations, the people, too. The word “kind” was repeated over and over again. About bands, volunteers and guests. That means so much to us. That you should feel completely safe and comfortable at our festival and in Bjørke, being yourself. Seeing so many in Bygdepride’s “Kjærleik” (“Love”) caps also meant a lot to us. Music and love for all – that’s our aim for the festival. And of course bringing indiepop (and a bit of punk, this year!) to the fjords.

Thanks to our fantastic sponsors for making our dream financially possible: Tussa, SpareBank 1 SMN, Sparebanken Norge, Retura Søre Sunnmøre AS, Aurstad, Volda kommune and Fjord1.

Heartfelt thanks from us to these and many more: The bands and DJs, the super hard-working and talented sound and lights engineers Stig Hestenes and Bjørn Holvik from Soundlight, Martinus Larsen and Sigve Heidsve, the welcoming villagers of Bjørke, everyone who hosted the bands, uncle Ole for hosting some volunteers, Bjørke kyrkje, Bjørkeskulen, Hjørundfjord Vandrerhjem, Bjørke, Bakketunet, Liisa Mänd (Pinea Studio) and Emily Louisa Millan Eide for fab photos and videos, Luke Murphy for the great poster, merch and website design, Jon Egil Finnes for lending us his tractor trailer yet another year, Hjørundfjord kulturvernlag for lending us Notanaustet boathouse, the artists, the workshop holders, the Kippersunds for lending us electricity to Notanaustet, Fredrik Ingebrigtsen and Trine Giskeødegård who borrowed us a guitar and a projector, Kay Are Urkegjerde for borrowing us a cymbal and cymbal stand, Ålesund Kulturskole and Sigve Klevberg for borrowing us two guitars, Heinz Brossolat for the merch, Eivind Skjerdal for making sure the instruments were in great condition, Skjåstaddalen Frilynde Ungdomslag for Haukly, all the stall holders, Eirik, Helene and Amalie for providing delicious food at the evening venue, Farkvamen barnehage and Sula Rutelag A/S for the buses, Hjørundfjordstrikk for the cardigan – and M/S Polarstar for providing transport/pub/café/hotel ship/stage.

And finally – a huge thanks to the team of volunteers – you ARE Indiefjord.

See you next year? Bring your friends!

Love from us
