Drumroll… we’re now revealing a booking we’re so, so happy about… Marie Løvås (NO) is playing the Bjørke Church concert Sunday 12 July!
According to our band bookers Martinus, Luke and Silja, Marie is Sunnmøre’s answer to Julien Baker.
They’re convinced you’ll be as mesmerised by Marie’s voice as them.
Marie Løvås has struck a nerve with her album "Alle mine svar blei om til såpebobleregn" (“All my answers were made into soap bubble rain”), for which she received a Spellemann award.
Marie also received Norsk Viseforum’s artist grant for 2024 and is described by Norwegian newspapers as part of "the absolute elite of Norwegian singer-songwriters”.
The songs “August” and “Siste trikk” have been buzzing on the radio (as well as at the festival office!), and the last year Marie has been doing a lot of songwriting and a lot of concerts.
The Bjørke Church concert is included in your Indiefjord weekend or Sunday ticket – and you can also pay on the door.
The church is fairly small, though, so entry will be on a first come, first serve basis. Doors open at 11, Marie plays from 11.30-12.30. PS: If you watch this video you’ll see a reference to a band that played Indiefjord last year. Can you figure out which one?
