The Ethnobabes + Selma (NO) = Perfect Pop!
Eivor Vindenes and Nina Barnes are back on stage with the songs that made The Ethnobabes Norway’s possibly only real twee-pop band in the early 2000s. At Indiefjord they are joined by Selma, who make up the rest of the band. Prepare for sunny melodies and jangly guitars!
This will be an evening for both nostalgics and new fans – a celebration of timeless pop, energy and genuine joy of playing.
Back in 2002, Alex Steininger from In Music We Trust (USA) had this to say about The Ethnobabes: “The songs are almost always lightweight and bouncy, the epitome of a perfect pop song, fluffy and oh-so-irresistible… As you bounce and bop, you realize why you love the band.
They're so damn saccharine but haven't forgotten how to rattle the boat every now and then with their rock tendencies. I'll give this an A”.
If you’re a fan of Heavenly and pure, dancey indiepop you’ll definitely love The Ethnobabes + Selma.
