Free waterfall hike with Indie Dad Saturday 13 July

Indie Dad is happy to announce that forecasted dry and sunny weather will allow for the traditional Indiefjord waterfall hike. So all of you enthusiasts can just look forward to a new visit to the magic secret valley under the waterfall – right out of J.R.R. Tolkien’s universe.

Soak your body in the pure ice-water pools, have a shower under the waterfall, streaming directly from the eternal glaciers above. Or just lie down in the grass and enjoy the fragrant air from mountain flowers and herbs – and do not forget to listen to the natural music from the rapids. Quench your thirst directly from the stream and fill your water bottle.

You may even find some wild berries to taste, all of which are eligible. I should also mention the mud pool where deer get rid of bloodsucking insects. And last, but not least, enjoy the view of the fjord and the village from above.

Good walking shoes is necessary, hiking boots is even better, and be reminded that your footwear will get dirty even in dry weather. Hiking sticks will be available, and for newcomers, know you will be perfectly safe as you will be helped and guarded by locals. Please respect their advice. We will ascend in a row, one by one, on the narrow path.

Meet at Indiefjord HQ and be ready to start at 11:00 on Saturday. We will climb at an easy pace and reach the ridge in about 30-40 minutes. No one will be left behind. We will stay at the waterfall for about an hour.
